175th Anniversary of the First Cunard Crossing

It'd been a long day's shooting today up in Wigan. I dropped my second shooter back home and when I arrived outside my house I heard the horn of the QM2 in the river. I raced down to the New Brighton waterfront to see what I could see of the enormous vessel beginning its homage to the Britannia. 175 years ago today, that ship set sail from Liverpool on the first transatlantic Cunard voyage. It's classy that Cunard is doing this. Quite a sight.

Having grown up on Merseyside, it's so gratifying to see these beautiful famous ships back in the river so regularly. Liverpool is booming again.

A Romantic Sunset Over Thurstaston

We're blessed with some pretty beautiful locations on the Wirral. With the lighter evenings it's a pleasure to shoot pre-wedding shoots and I love the shots from this one with Hayley and David.
